Welcome to scout camp PULAHUS 2025! 

Pulahus 2025 is the summer camp of the Lapin Partiolaiset scout district, taking place in Heinuvaara, Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland, from July 5th to 11th, 2025.

Rovaniemi, known as the ”Arctic Capital” of Northern Finland, offers stunning natural beauty and serene camping grounds.

Camp Location
The camp area is situated by a small lake in Heinuvaara (coordinates: N 66° 41,26, E 026° 35,00 ETRS-TM36FIN), surrounded by deep green forests, hills, and wetlands. You can explore the location on the map here.

Life at Pulahus

Camp Facts

  • Participants: Nearly 1,000 scouts.
  • Tent Area: Located on a gently sloping hillside in the forest by the lake.
  • Meals:
    • Breakfast and dinner are prepared independently by troops at their camping spots.
    • Lunch is served at the central kitchen.
  • Walking distances are approximately 5-15 minutes on good trails or dirt roads.
  • Drinking water is readily available

Weather

  • Typical July temperatures in northern Finland range from 20–25°C.
  • It’s almost the nightless night, as the sun barely sets.
  • Be prepared for rainy weather by packing personal camping gear accordingly.

Electricity

  • Electricity is available only in the sub-camp office tent for limited mobile phone charging.
  • Special arrangements for medical devices (e.g., CPAP) will be made according to the information provided during registration.

Daily Camp Routines

  • 7:00 – Breakfast at the troop tent area.
  • Lunch – Served at the central kitchen.
  • 17:00 – Dinner at the troop tent area.
  • 21:00 – Evening snack.
  • Participants eat with their troops using their own plates and utensils.
  • Dietary restrictions can be accommodated if noted in the registration form.
  • Showers and saunas are available daily.
  • Toilets are located near the camp area.

At the camp you sleep in your own tents, but several people can sleep in one tent. We also carry all our own belongings ourselves.

How to get there

The camp site is less than 50 km from Rovaniemi, a city with an airport and railway station. We are happy to assist with:

  • Local travel arrangements.
  • Low-cost transportation from Rovaniemi.

Please note: There is no home hospitality program, but we can help connect you with Finnish scouts for shared activities before or after the camp.

Participation Fee

  • Full camp (July 5–11): 215 euros.
  • Shorter camp (July 8–11): 175 euros.

Payments are made via electronic payment service at the time of registration. Only debit cards are accepted. For larger groups, invoicing is available.

  1. What is required for registration?
    International groups should contact pulahus2025@partio.fi for detailed instructions.
  2. When is the registration deadline?
    Registration closes on March 14th, 2025.
  3. What if we miss the registration deadline?
    Contact us directly if you miss the deadline. We’ll try to assist, but late entries cannot be guaranteed.
  4. Can we adjust participant numbers after registration?
    Registration cannot be canceled, but substitutions are allowed at no extra cost. Notify changes via pulahus2025@partio.fi.
  5. Do we need to provide participant details during registration?
    Yes, all necessary information must be included in the registration.
  6. Can individuals register to attend?
    Yes, individuals can register through this form:

  7. What if I need to cancel due to illness?
    Attendance fees are non-refundable. However, you can apply for reimbursement through your insurance company.
